Low Emissivity (Low E) Glazing

Low Emissivity glasses are specifically designed to retain heat within a building whilst maintaining maximum light transmission with minimum light reflection. vastly reducing Heat Lose through the unit.  The specialist coating is designed to reflect long wavelength energy (heat generated by heating systems, lighting, etc.) back into the building whilst allowing the transmission of the Suns short wavelength energy which is absorbed by the internal surfaces of the building and re-radiated as reflected long wavelength energy.

We are able to supply Low Emissivity Glasses are available in various different formats,

Annealed

Toughened

Laminated

Acoustic Laminated

4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm

4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm

6.4mm - 12.8mm Standard Stock (Thicker Laminates are available on request)

6.4mm - 12.8mm Standard Stock (Thicker Laminates are available on request)

Laminates are available in Annealed, Heat Strengthened and Toughened Formats.

The reflection of Long Wavelength Energy, known as The Thermal Insulation is measured using the Centre Pane U-Value shown as W/m2K.  This measurement expresses the Heat Lose through the unit so the lower the measurement the better the unit performs.

1.1 W/m2K is a better performing unit than 1.7 W/m2K

Modern Low Emissivity Coatings are referred to as 'Soft Coated', this is a generic term for a family of Coatings applied to various glasses.

As an independent trader, we are able to supply various Low Emissivity coated glasses.
